Diplomacy

Attentive viewers watching the reception for the Sri Lankan and Australian Test teams at Kirribilli House the other day, especially if they could lip read, would have ‘heard’ our PM saying to one of the Sri Lankan bowlers (sadly missing from the Sydney Test having injured himself trying to play real football): “We do have a lot in common you know; you’re Eranga and so am I!”.

M. Johnson was less diplomatic. He was overheard (overseen?) saying: “The Sri Lankans are dropping like commentators”.
