Fact (if such it is) is stranger than fiction.
Now, checking my facts, just in case, I find the following from Shitipedia:

"The fossilised remains of a parrot were found in Denmark by Dr David Waterhouse.
These are 55 millions [of years?] old, when the region was tropical.
The parrot has been named the Danish Blue, in reference to this sketch".

Sounds cheesy to me.
