I need to explain Interesting Fact #2.

Upper Minjup is approached from the North while you get to Lower Minjup from the South.
Thanks to Mac for pointing me in the right direction -- his knowledge of the district predates my own by several years.

Coming back from Blyton today, I took the above pic of the approach to our fragment of paradise from the North.

Also heard from another source that there's an English rock band called "Minjup".
Apparently one of the members of the band got stuck on the Australind one night and was put up in the Tavern (see Tuesday's post below for the pic) courtesy of our wonderful rail company/corporation/....

So it seems that good things can be born from adversity.
