The Minjup Diary spreads far and wide.
In one case it's reached Noonamah, NT, home of the famous Darwin Crocodile Farm.
Ta Ned!
So here's the next installment from Ray.
The Crocodiles of Cape York
The crocodiles of Cape York
Dine well on marmalade and pork
And only when they're very pissed
Will eat the passing motorist.
They lie amongst the fruit and veg
That grow upon the river's edge
Most fearful when they take a snooze
Of waking as a pair of shoes.
Some people, bearing them a grudge,
Have said they've seen them eating fudge,
Custard pies, Brussel sprouts
And half a troop of Nowra scouts.
The crocodile only laughs,
For scouts are eaten by giraffes
And crocs don't eat confectionery
On orders from their veterinary.
So travel north, but bear in mind
The crocodile's been much maligned,
It's really quite a careful creature
And hardly ever wants to eat yer.
