Tinker Tailor

It's often bemused me as to why cigarettes in a packet are called "tailors".
They're not tailor made.
If anything, they're off the peg.
A tailored cigarette is one made to your own specifications by an expert on such matters ... yourself.

I bought some soi-disant tailors today so I could put them in a rather wonderful cigarette case bought for me by a dear friend.
Haven't done this for many a year.
The odd thing is that, after you've smoked one, you need a real cigarette.
Bit like Chinese food.
Or, at least, the off-the-peg variety of Chinese food.

If Kylie Kwong turns up and wants to cook for me, I won't be complaining.
For that matter, if anyone turns up and wants to cook for me, I won't be complaining.
