Alan of Philosopher[']s['] Zone fame is just getting worse with his over-dramatic stentorian diction.
Today, he played some episodes from the various takes on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde: all classic instances of sound melodrama and over-acting at its worst ... natch.
But even more italicised, bolded, underlined, paused, strung out ... usw ... were his own contributions to the program.
In fact, it took him half the program to say the words:
THEEEEE ...... DOCTRINE ..........O::::::::::F ............ OR...IG...IN...AL ((long pause)) SIN ((downward inflection)).Like we'd never heard of that and he was announcing the momentous idea for the first time.
Why can't they replace him with an Australian?
