La femme qui dort

Well I didn't get a signal from the top of Castle Rock, but I've found a brief satellite window near its base!
Miles better than the 56-pigeons-per-second connection in Minjup.
Sometimes "remote" is less remote than "rural" and "regional".

The Porongurups are wonderful covered in mist and you keep warm from the climbing.
Haven't had to get out the wet-weather gear once -- not even on Devil's Slide where I went to see if I could find the Ray Bans I left there some years ago.
Devil must have got 'em but.

It's been wonderful walking and climbing weather ... and the rain only sets in round about beer o'clock, by which time I'm safe and warm and dry in the Mt Barker Pub with a Coopers Stout and a plate of sausage and chips.
Will probaby have to be brief in case this connection goes down -- and besides, there's work to be done.

So ... here's a shot I took yesterday of the Stirlings in the distance.
