I’m reliably informed that there’s a puzzle in today’s paper. But the whole of Minjup, Blyton and Moribundup (the two remaining pubs notwithstanding) are closed for the pubic holiday. (Yes, I know.) Buggered if I’m going up to the smoke especially. So I may or may not eventually find it, finish it and/or blog it.

To boot, there are possible changes afoot this year for the PST puzzle, if my spies are reliable — which I doubt. If they turn out as I hope they will — for the better — I shall probably take up the habit of reporting on or after the Friday when the competition closes.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a puzzle worthy of being a Times competition puzzle? That would make the new year a happy one. Still ... I wish you all just that, come what cruciverbally may.
