Some time ago Sledgette Minor bought me a bottle of wine called "Barking Owl", mostly on the strength of the name and the label.
I kept the bottle after hitting myself over the head with the contents.
Sits in the fridge as a chilled water container -- antidote to self-head-bashing.
Took it out the other day and saw that it's made at Millbrook, but a short walk up the hills from Minjup itself.
The back label reads:
"[Usual bullshit about wine] ... Barking Owls are found in the jarrah forest surrounding Millbrook Winery and are often seen perched on the vineyard rows".
Soon as the rain goes away, I'm off up there to see if I can see one or two.
Might buy a bottle or three into the bargain.
