Pair of these little guys (Grey Fantail, Rhipidura fuliginosa) making their "dick, dick" noises and flitting about in my elderberry trees today.
They were giving the resident Willy Wagtail couple (who nest there) a good run for their money.



This is interesting as the Wagtails will take on anyone or anything that comes near their nest site.
They have more pluck than a school of harpists.
But our Fantails seem undaunted.
A case of sticking up for your rights in the face of adversity perhaps.
