Sunday Times 667 -- Dot goes walkabout ... again

Across
1. ROEG. Nick, the (English) director of 16dn. ROE (eggs) + G[erman].
3. PAST MASTER. Pun-ish double def.
10. PERSECUTE. Anag of "rescue pet". As with last week's 18ac, the def (badger) should be at the end or start of the clue, not in the middle. But that would spoil the "pet badger" surface. No excuses but.
11. BLAST. Pun-ish double def.
12. LET (allow) + UP (out of bed).
13. TOLERATE. Anag of "relate to".
15. DO + WAGER.
17. SP[L]URGE.
19. E + CLAIR[']S. "A cake, long in shape but short in duration" -- Chambers.
21. BOBTAIL. As in "ragtag and ....", I presume. OED: "a docked tail of a horse or dog". Dot missed out on the Oz reference here -- Tiliqua rugosa.
22. PALO ALTO. PA (Dad) + LO (look) + ALTO (singer). Stanford lies there.
24. ENJOY. Replace the V (very moving) in "envoy" with a J.
27. ROOS + T.
28. CATATONIA. Place of Orwell's (passive?) homage with its heart (L) changed to a T.
29. CITY CENTRE. I and T are at the centre of cITy. The exclamation mark is a case of gratuitous self-congratulation.
30. LYRE. Inclusive. The clew should say "featureS".

Down
1. ROPE LADDER. RE (about) with OP (work) inside + LADDER (run).
2. REGRET.
4. See 25.
5. TRELLIS. Anag.
6. CAMBER. "About to hide" = delete the C.
7. TRATTORIA. Anag of IT[alian] + "tart or a".
8. RAT+E.
9. RESPIGHI. One of the worst clues ever in the Oz ST by a long chalk. The &lit totally fails. What we're supposed to do is delete ("de-scribe"!) "codas" from "discographies" and anagrammatise ("may be") the remainder.
14. SELL-BY DATE. Anag of "belatedly" + S[old]. Don't mind this one so much, but I could still do without the exclamation.
16. WALK + A + BOUT.
18. LIBRETTO. Anag of "Rob" and "title".
20. SILICON. The symbol for which is SI.
21. B[L]OATER.
23. OP+TIC.
25 & 4. JENNY (donkey) + AG (silver) + UTTER (say). She was in 16dn.
26. C + ROC.
